I am Jesse Thomson. I started Emerald Websites to give regional and rural businesses the kind of professional website big-city companies take for granted, without the jargon, the hidden fees or the sense that you are being talked down to.

I was born and raised right here in Emerald. This is home, and the businesses around here are the ones I grew up with: the trades, the farmers, the shops, the clubs. I have always had a lot of respect for the people who run them, because it is hard work and they do it well.
Before this, I served in the Australian Army as a Combat Engineering Officer, and that background still shapes how I work: do the job properly, and do what you say you will. That is not a marketing line, it is just how I was trained to operate, and it turns out to be exactly what a small business wants from the person building their website.
Along the way I kept seeing the same problem. Good local businesses, doing great work, being let down online. Either they had no website at all, or they had paid too much for something slow and dated that never brought in a single enquiry. Meanwhile the agencies talked in jargon, hid their pricing, and treated a small business like a small deal. I knew it could be done better, so I started Emerald Websites to do it.

What I actually believe
